Greetings

Hello!

You have found one element of the online presence of the Wake Forest Baptist (WFBC) Church Young Adults. I just wanted to throw something up here to be a place holder for the time being, but that shouldn't stop me from giving some info.
In terms of the larger congregation, WFBC is a proudly progressive Baptist church located on the campus of Wake Forest University. We are part of the Alliance of Baptists, the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America.

WFBC has also been an active participant in local outreach ministries in the Forsyth County area, and helped found the Winston-Salem ministry for Meals on Wheels. WFBC was instrumental in the beginning of C.H.A.N.G.E. (Communities Helping All Neighbors Gain Empowerment), a grassroots interfaith organization that encompasses more than fifty faith communities and neighborhood organizations.

As far as WFBC Young Adults go: we are just getting started! While there are a number of Young Adults and Students that call WFBC their church home, they are a busy group! This means that until recently we were only able to get together every now and then. Luckily, Carter McNeese, a member of the congregation, is completing his Pastoral Internship at the congregation this year. Having grown up in church, Carter is well aware of how important having community is, so he is devoting a significant chunk of his internship to helping WFBC get a Young Adult and Student ministry off the ground.

WFBC Young Adults strives to be a welcoming and warm group that can be a safe place to ask questions, just as long as you don't expect answers! We recognize that we are all in this crazy thing called life together, and we strive to support one another in the process. We also recognize that as Christians we are called to serve the "least of these" and hope that in the near future we can missionally serve the greater Winston Salem community.

Thanks for dropping by. We hope you’ll come join us for worship in Wait Chapel at 11 a.m. on Sundays. If you are unfamiliar with the WFU campus, just look for the only building with a steeple!
